Play the theremin and enjoy a holiday in Sardinia,
one of the most original islands in the Mediterranean area,
sounds like a good combination, right?

On the north-east coast between Posada and La Caletta
is situated the lovely Hotel Corallo.
10 minutes does it take to walk to the white sandy beach.
The hotel is operated by a pleasant couple, Renata and Piero.
Piero cooks delicious Sardinian cuisine,
while Renata cares about ideas of alternative holiday concepts.

There will be theremin classes
at the first day from 2 pm to 4 pm and 5 pm to 7 pm,
the remaining days from 11 am to 1 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm.
During the remaining time you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
If requested your stay can be extended for further holiday.

Barbara Buchholz has retrieved the theremin from oblivion
and is finding new uses and applications for it in contemporary music.
Known internationally for her mastery of the theremin,
she is in demand as a performer and teacher.

Workshop A for Beginners

“First steps with the theremin”
For musicians without any experience of the Theremin.
To play the theremin is like singing with your “inner voice”.
Anyone who loves singing already has the prerequisites.

Workshop B for Advanced Beginners
July 27th-31st 2011
“Listen and Play”
Directed to musicians who know the theremin a bit.
This workshop is about improvement of the technique
of the left and the right hand, ear training,
first steps of improvisation and study of some easy literature.

Workshop Fee: 400 €

Number of participants: 4

Please bring a theremin, a mono jack and
if possible a stand with you.
An amplifier will be supplied on site.
